How Many Speakers Do You Need for an Event?

"How many speakers do I need?" has no single answer — it depends on the room, the crowd and what the sound is for. But a few principles get you close.
Think in coverage, not count
The real question is whether sound reaches everyone evenly. A small pair of mains might cover fifty guests in one room and fail across a long hall of the same headcount. Coverage — driven by dispersion and placement — matters more than a raw number.
Rough starting points

Do you need subwoofers?
